Why do I see ads to be a subscriber if I have an active subscription?

If you have purchased a digital subscription and see ads asking you to become a subscriber or that you have reached the maximum number of articles that you can read for free, please remember you need to log in to your account. Note that you will need to log in to your account from every device you use – smartphone, iPad, Desktop Computer, Laptop, etc.

How can I update my personal information and mailing address?

To update your profile information, such as your email address, home address, or change of name, log in to your account. In the Profile section, you can modify your personal information including your email, mailing address and password. Enter your new information, and then select Save changes.

What payment methods are accepted, and how are subscriptions billed?

As a The Real Deal subscriber, you can pay via debit or credit card and PayPal. The payment method associated with your account will be charged automatically on an annual or monthly basis depending on your subscription package. 

How do I change or update my payment method?

To change your payment method, log in to your account. In the Subscription section, select Manage > Update renewal payment method. Enter your new payment method, and then select Save changes

How do I obtain a receipt for my subscription?

To obtain a receipt, log in to your account. In the Payment history section, you will be able to email or download a copy of your receipt.

How do I renew my subscription?

Your The Real Deal annual subscription will auto-renew annually, and your monthly subscription will auto-renew every month.

What are the cancellation and refund policies?

Your subscription will automatically renew, unless you cancel. The Real Deal does not issue refunds after you have been charged. You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time before the next billing cycle to avoid future charges. Annual subscribers who cancel will not be issued a refund and their subscription will not renew.

If I don’t have a digital subscription, can I still access to The Real Deal’s online content?

Yes. The Real Deal readers can view limited content and access 5 complimentary articles during a 30-day period. If you reach your usage limit, you will need to wait for a new 30-day period to start before you can begin reading again. 

When I click on any TRD article it says OFFLINE, how do I resolve this?

If you are using a Windows PC with McAfee firewall installed, you may be experiencing this issue. To resolve this follow the steps below.

  1. Open McAfee.
  2. Click Web and Email Protection or click the Gear icon at the top-right corner.
  3. Select Firewall, then scroll down and click Net Guard.
  4. Select the IP Address listed for the site that you want to access.
  5. Click Edit, then change Block to Allow.
  6. Click Save, or Apply.
